What we keep, and what we never do with it.

The quiz runs in your browser. While you take it, only step counts and which version of a screen you saw are sent to us — never an answer. When you finish, your answers are sent once so we can compute and store your result under a random id. That record has no name, no email and no account attached, and nothing about you rides in the web address of your result page.

If you save your plan, the result is attached to your email address so we can send it to you. If you never save, it stays anonymous.

Your answers are never used for advertising, never shared with the retailers we link to, and never read by the automated tools that maintain this site: those tools see aggregate counts only.

We ask for it only when you choose to save a plan or join the Guides list. Saving a plan sends you the plan and one check-in email. Further notes come only if you tick the box that asks for them, and every email has an unsubscribe link and a delete-my-data link. We do not sell, rent or share your address.

• tg_sid: a random id for one visit (24 hours) so a product click can be counted against the visit it came from. Not linked to your identity.
• tg_variants: which version of a headline or button you were shown, so the copy stays the same for you for 30 days. Version names only, nothing about you.
• Sign-in cookies: set only after you open a saved-plan link, so your plan page knows it is you.
• Your device’s storage: your quiz answers and light-or-dark preference, held in your own browser and never sent as such.

We use no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies. If we run site analytics, it is Cloudflare Web Analytics: aggregate page counts with no cookies and no identifiers.

If we advertise on Meta (Facebook and Instagram), we may tell Meta from our server that a quiz was completed or a plan was saved, so we can see which ads work. That message carries the time, the site address, and the network address and browser of the request. It never carries your answers, your result, your focus area, or your email address. Meta’s own privacy policy applies to what it does with that message. We do this only while we are running ads.

The site runs on Cloudflare (hosting), stores data with Supabase (database, in the United States) and sends email through Resend. If you buy something, Stripe handles the payment and a fulfilment warehouse (CJdropshipping) receives the shipping address. Each processes data only to provide that service to us. No other party receives your data.

Some product links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. When you tap one, we record the click against your anonymous visit id and send you to the retailer. The retailer learns that you came from this site, never which quiz result you saw. Their privacy policy applies once you are there.

A few picks are sold by Trailguide Wellness itself rather than linked to a retailer. Checkout runs on Stripe’s own page: Stripe holds your card details and we never see them. We keep your email address, the shipping address you enter and what you bought, so the parcel can be sent, tracked and refunded if need be. The shipping address and your name go to the warehouse that packs the parcel, and nothing else does: not your quiz, not your result. Order emails are about the order only; they carry no marketing and need no unsubscribe.

• Visit events (page views, quiz steps, clicks): 90 days, then deleted.
• Anonymous quiz results: until you delete them, or until we retire the record.
• Saved plans and your email: until you unsubscribe or delete your data.

Every email we send carries a delete-my-data link. It removes your email address, your saved plan and the quiz results attached to it, and stops all further email. Unsaved results carry nothing that identifies you.

When this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects what we do with data we already hold, we email the people it affects first.
